Since 2010, Brooklyn has evolved into a thriving hub of entrepreneurship and high technology startup firms, and of postmodern art and design. Brooklyn can be a desirable place for older adults to live for many reasons:

Many healthy senior citizens live and thrive in my neighborhood which is great because when I reach that age I want to know that I will be safe and recognized.
It has a lot of senior centers ,local stores have discounts for seniors there are a lot of parks and other things for seniors to do in the community during the week and on the weekends
Age friendly. Several senior centers that are walkable. Plenty of public transit, plenty of restaurants, markets, and health care options. There is also park space and plenty of benches along sidewalks for seniors to sit and rest on the way to their destination.
Brooklyn is an Age friendly borough . There are Lots of buildings equipped with elevators. This makes everyday life easier for all of those people in the Senior Citizen range

My neighborhood has changed over the last 3-5years revitalizing itself into a true cosmopolitan area. Buildings are being renovated and young couples are moving in. Some w/ small children.
