I feel the traffic and all general outlets or forms of transportation are not age friendly. Everything is very fast here and on the go which can make things very overwhelming and quite scary for senior citizens. We also do not have enough funds or resources to care for the elderly who can not work and live on a very restricted income. I do see many assisted living or retirement communities, however many of these seem unaffordable for the expenses allowed to most seniors in this country. Everything about Houston tells senior citizens to kind of get out the way and keep quiet, it's almost as if they are forgotten here sometimes unless they are wealthy.

I consider myself to be age friendly because old people deserve the most respect and patience.
