Cost of living is a problem here. Property taxes are becoming a major problem. Fixed income people cannot afford them. It would be great if we could know ahead of time of the % rise each year. 3% constant rise per year should be the ceiling. It's hard to budget when you are guessing.

Austin, TX is a great city in terms of educational opportunities, recreational activities and weather. However, the cost of living is extremely high, public transportation is inadequate, traffic is a nightmare and crime is on the rise. Austin is facing big city issues without the infrastructure to handle it.

Public transportation needs work, the Austin politics gee whiz more emphasis on being politically correct than serving residents. The no plastic bags at the grocery store what a pain, the trash situation is ridiculous. No trash cans does not result in no trash it results in litter and disease. Does anyone study these issues before they try to implement them? Stupid, Stupid

No plan to improve mass transit; poor part time job market; high property taxes despite no state income tax; Older, unimproved rentals are overpriced
