I have lived in Hyattsville for almost 4 years and very comfortable. I am still learning more about the area. I have an urban feel living here; proximity to shops, medical facilities, schools, malls , recreational centers and the USA capital DC. Its relatively safe and age friendly.
On the low side, social integration is lacking in my neighborhood. Many people here keep to themselves.
But generally I am okay with my city.

No neigborhood meetings nor forums to meet.

Easy transportation, stores, and education access. Affordable living expenses.

It is age friendly because people are very nice and genuine to others. You see a lot of people trying to go out there way to help others and it's just so heartwarming.
