Friendly: Lots of parks, nice restaurants, close to great medical care. Unfriendly: uneven sidewalks, can be loud at night, very expensive so maybe not good for those in fixed income
It is a ver frriendly environment and it is really diverse with people from different cultural backgrounds. People are really accepting of one another no matter where you are from.
Beacon Hill is relatively neutral between age-friendly and age-unfriendly for mature people. On the negative side, most of the housing stock is pretty old and has a lot of stairs and streets have a lot of hills, that can sometimes be difficult to navigate. On the positive side, there are a lot of amenities within short walking distance, including grocery stores, banks, libraries, and parks.
Its age unfriendly because of the brick/cobblestone sidewalks and pot hole ridden smaller residential streets. I have an elderly parent who uses a wheelchair and it's difficult to get around the neighborhood with her. We walk on the street instead of most sidewalks.
Friendly: there are lots of colleges close by and students in apartments. Unfriendly: the houses here are way to overpriced for younger generations to buy. People are starting to move outside of the area to buy property.
Surrounding and the schools and hospital facilities also the proffesional work oriented people in my community makes it more safer for us to live here
Well I live here with my 17 year old daughter. We're right next to the train station and its easy to get to most places, and it's convenient for my daughter. There is also a supermarket across the parking lot. There's a pool, a gym and a game room in a secured building.
Everybody don't get alone with you have a lot of peoples with different background and you need to know about different we can all learn from each other. I would love that trying different food, dancing .
Not really can be hard to get get around not friendly leans towards younger people what more can I say some other area of the city have s better mix of older people
There are services for elderly, such as senior affordable housing, as well as amenities for families with children. The community has a wide variety of ages, but programs organized by the neighborhood tend to be geared towards people in their 30s and 40s
